Our Story - The Heart Behind Prestige Pets
At Prestige Pets, our journey began in the fall of 2012 with a dream of building a life centered around family, faith, and a love for dogs. Inspired by the example of my father and grandfather, I set out with the hope of raising a family at home while caring for puppies that would one day bring joy to other families. With the guidance of a trusted mentor and the support of my loved ones, Prestige Pets slowly began to take shape.
Like many small family businesses, the early years brought challenges. Balancing a full-time job, long hours, and growing responsibilities at home often meant late nights and little rest. I’ll never forget those evenings eating dinner with my newborn son in my arms, reminding me that every sacrifice was worth it. Even when the work felt overwhelming, our family’s love for our puppies kept us moving forward.
Through faith, determination, and the support of loyal customers, hope began to shine through. By 2018, we proudly built and moved into a brand-new nursery designed to give our moms and puppies the very best start in life. What began as a dream has now grown into a family legacy we’re blessed to share every day.
Today, Prestige Pets is a family-run kennel raising four beloved purebred breeds: Havanese, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, French Bulldogs, and Shih Tzus. We also raise the designer breeds Havapoos and Shipoos. Each puppy is raised with love, socialization, and care so they are ready to thrive in their forever homes.
A Day In The Life At Prestige Pets
Our days are filled with caring for our puppies and ensuring they receive the best attention possible. Each morning begins with feeding, cleaning, and playtime. With three large outdoor play yards and two indoor areas for small puppies and new moms, every dog has room to exercise and enjoy life. Weekly routines include baths, picture days, grooming, vet checkups, and plenty of time for snuggles.
The Family and Crew Behind Prestige Pets
Prestige Pets is family-owned and operated by myself, Ernie, my wife Kaylene, and our four children: Jeremy, Krista, Marlena, and Kari. We are blessed with extra help from our neighbor Sharon and our photographer Rachel, who ensures we can capture each puppy’s milestones and personality.
