Introducing FiFi

Meet FiFi, a sweet little Shih Tzu girl being raised here at Prestige Pets.

FiFi is a curious and playful little girl who enjoys exploring what's around her and spending time with people. She's also happy to settle in for some attention and cuddles after she's had her fun.

As FiFi continues to grow and experience new things, we're enjoying seeing more of her personality come through. Those little preferences and quirks are part of what makes getting to know each puppy so much fun.

While she's with us, FiFi receives plenty of hands-on care, regular interaction, early socialization, and opportunities to become comfortable with the everyday sights, sounds, and routines of family life.

Made for Companionship

The Shih Tzu may be small, but this breed has quite a history. Unlike breeds originally developed for herding, hunting, or guarding, Shih Tzus have long been bred primarily as companions.

That companion background is one reason Shih Tzus are often described as affectionate, friendly, and people-oriented dogs. They generally enjoy being part of everyday life and spending plenty of time with their families.

Their smaller size can also make them adaptable companions for different households. As with any breed, however, individual temperament, training, exercise, grooming, and daily attention all play a role in the dog a puppy becomes.

FiFi will have her own personality, and that's something no breed description can completely predict.

Preparing for Everyday Family Life

A future family home will bring all kinds of ordinary experiences, from doors opening and closing to household noises, different people, new routines, and plenty of activity.

While FiFi is at Prestige Pets, she's given regular interaction, gentle handling, early socialization, and exposure to everyday routines and sounds.

Our approach isn't about trying to introduce a puppy to everything imaginable. It's about giving her positive, manageable experiences that provide a helpful foundation for the next stage of life.

Those everyday moments can be just as valuable as more structured activities.

An Introduction to Training

FiFi also gets a head start on several basic puppy routines before heading home.

We're introducing her to:

Potty Training: In progress

Crate Training: In progress

Leash Training: In progress

These are beginnings rather than promises of a fully trained puppy.

Even when a puppy understands a routine in one environment, moving into a new home means adjusting to different doors, schedules, expectations, and people. FiFi's family will need to continue her training with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.

Our goal is simply to make some of those concepts familiar before she makes that transition.

FiFi's Health & Care

We want FiFi's future family to know that important routine care has been taken care of before she leaves Prestige Pets.

FiFi will be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming and will receive a complete veterinary health examination.

Her parents have also been screened for breed-related health concerns as part of our breeding practices.

FiFi is microchipped for permanent identification and comes with a 1-year genetic health guarantee.

Living With That Beautiful Shih Tzu Coat

The Shih Tzu's coat is certainly part of the breed's charm, but it also comes with a commitment to grooming.

Routine brushing helps prevent tangles and mats, while bathing, nail trimming, facial care, and professional grooming can all become part of keeping a Shih Tzu comfortable and looking her best.

Families can choose different coat lengths depending on their lifestyle and grooming preferences. Many opt for a shorter trim that's easier to maintain, while others enjoy the traditional longer Shih Tzu coat.

Whichever style FiFi's family prefers, regular grooming will be an important part of caring for her.

A Few Things to Make the Move Easier

Heading into a new home means almost everything around FiFi will suddenly be different. We like to send our puppies home with the important information and a familiar food to help families get started.

FiFi will go home with:

• Health records and vaccination history

• Microchip information

• Starter food for a smoother transition

• 1-year genetic health guarantee

Her family can then share her health information with their own veterinarian and continue building on the care and routines that have already been started.

Our Philosophy at Prestige Pets

At Prestige Pets, raising puppies isn't about trying to make every puppy fit the same description.

We focus on providing our Shih Tzu puppies with attentive daily care, socialization, interaction, basic training introductions, and appropriate veterinary care while recognizing that every puppy is an individual.

We also want families to understand what comes with choosing a Shih Tzu, including the breed's companionship needs, regular grooming, continued training, and lifelong care.

A good match matters much more than simply choosing the cutest puppy on the page.

Could FiFi Be the Right Fit?

FiFi will be available beginning November 11, 2026.

For someone who has been considering a female Shih Tzu puppy, FiFi offers the opportunity to welcome home a little companion who has been given a thoughtful start here at Prestige Pets.

Take some time to learn about the Shih Tzu breed, consider what life with one will look like, and reach out to learn more about FiFi herself. Finding the right puppy should feel like finding the right fit, and we're always happy to help with that process.
