Say Hello to Fizz

Meet Fizz, a beautiful little Shih Tzu girl here at Prestige Pets!

Fizz is being raised with plenty of hands-on care, regular interaction, and opportunities to experience the everyday sights and sounds that come with life around people. We believe puppies benefit from a good balance of attention, socialization, playtime, and simple everyday experiences that help prepare them for the transition into a new home.

Every puppy is an individual, and that's something we really enjoy about raising them. Rather than trying to decide ahead of time exactly what Fizz's personality will be, we like giving her the opportunity to show us who she is.

A Little Dog With a Long History of Companionship

The Shih Tzu was developed as a companion dog, and that history is still easy to see in the breed today.

Shih Tzus are often known for being affectionate, friendly, playful, and people-oriented. Their smaller size makes them adaptable to many different living situations, while their expressive faces, beautiful coats, and charming personalities have earned them plenty of devoted fans.

They tend to enjoy being included in everyday family life, whether that's playing around the house, tagging along with their people, or simply spending time nearby.

Of course, breed tendencies don't determine everything. Each puppy develops her own personality and preferences, and Fizz will be uniquely herself.

Everyday Experiences Matter

We don't think preparing a puppy for family life has to be complicated.

Fizz receives regular handling, attention, and early socialization while being introduced to normal household activity, everyday sounds, people, and routines. These experiences give her opportunities to become familiar with some of the things she'll encounter in her future home.

We keep introductions positive and appropriate while still making sure there's plenty of room for the important parts of puppy life, including playing, exploring, resting, and spending time with people.

Our goal is simply to give Fizz a thoughtful start and a foundation her future family can continue building upon.

Getting Familiar With the Basics

Fizz is also being introduced to several practical puppy routines.

Her early training includes:

• Potty Training: In progress

• Crate Training: In progress

• Leash Training: In progress

We consider these introductions rather than finished skills.

Even a puppy who has begun learning these routines will need time to adjust to a new home, schedule, and environment. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will be important as Fizz's family continues her training.

Having some familiarity with these basics can simply make them a little less new when she begins life at home.

Health & Veterinary Care

Fizz receives thoughtful health and veterinary care as part of her preparation for life with her future family.

She will be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming and will receive a complete veterinary health examination.

Her parents have also been screened for breed-related health concerns as part of the breeding practices at Prestige Pets.

Fizz is microchipped for permanent identification and comes with a 1-year genetic health guarantee.

Caring for a Shih Tzu Coat

One of the Shih Tzu's most recognizable features is that beautiful coat, and keeping it comfortable does require regular care.

Brushing helps prevent tangles and matting, while routine bathing, nail trims, ear care, and professional grooming can all become part of a Shih Tzu's regular care schedule.

Keeping grooming experiences positive can make a big difference, especially with a breed that will need regular coat maintenance throughout life.

For many families, grooming also becomes part of the routine of caring for and spending time with their little companion.

What Fizz Will Bring Home

When it's time for Fizz to leave Prestige Pets, we'll make sure her family has some important information and supplies to help make the transition easier.

Fizz will go home with:

• Health records and vaccination history

• Microchip information

• Starter food to help with a smooth transition

• 1-year genetic health guarantee

Starting with familiar food can be especially helpful while a puppy is adjusting to all the changes that come with a new home.

Raising Shih Tzu Puppies at Prestige Pets

At Prestige Pets, we want our puppies to have a good start without making puppyhood more complicated than it needs to be.

Our Shih Tzu puppies receive daily care, early socialization, regular interaction, and attention to their individual development. We want them to experience normal life around people while also having plenty of opportunities to simply be puppies.

For us, it's about taking care of the important things and giving each puppy a solid foundation before they head home.

A New Chapter for Fizz

Fizz will be available beginning November 11, 2026, and we're looking forward to seeing where her next chapter takes her.

With her adorable Shih Tzu looks and a thoughtful start here at Prestige Pets, Fizz has everything she needs to begin making the transition from our care into everyday life with her future family.

If you've been considering adding a Shih Tzu puppy to your home, Fizz is certainly a little girl worth getting to know.
